My first 48 hours

I spent my first day at the hospital being visited by lots and lots of mommy's friends. Mommy was smart and took a picture of me with everyone that came to visit me. I want to thank those of you who brought mommy flowers and of course those of you who brought me presents. I did not eat very well yesterday, but I was a little ham for everyone when they came to see me. I had a rough afternoon, they took me and did my circumcision......man was that fun, NOT!! My wiener hurt all night long and the nurses kept coming in and checking it and each time they opened my diaper I had flashbacks of the awful procedure. I kept my mom and dad up all night because it hurt so bad. My dad made me go to the nursery for a couple hours in the middle of the night so mommy could get some sleep. Don't worry though, I would not sleep for them either and they brought me back to mommy after 2 hours and said I needed to eat. Boy did I have them fooled, I just wanted to go back and hang out with dad. I ate but then dad made mom go back to sleep and I kept dad up for 2 more hours. Mommy took over about 5:30 this morning and as soon as dad started snoring, I decided it was time to check out for the night. I slept until 10 this morning when mom finally work me up and told me that our goal for today was to establish an eating pattern.....she is such a planner.....I am going to see if I can give her a run for her money in that area. I have been eating every 3 hours and I am doing great. Daddy went home to sleep and Grandma and Aunt Kate are here taking care of me so mommy can get some rest too. Mommy does not follow directions very well though and has not slept yet, but she said she is going to. Don't worry, as soon as she gets to sleep I am going to remind her that we are here to establish an eating schedule and by my watch......it is time to eat again! Well, it is time to take a nap. Baby Blayke Arrives

Baby Blayke arrived on February 26 at 10:58pm. He was 6 pounds 14.7 ounces and 20.25 inches long. We just created this blog so we are checking to see if it works. Here is Blayke at about 10 minutes old.
