Update from me...the big 2 month old!!!!

I had my 2 month check this week and I am weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz and I am 23 1/4 in. long. I have gained 3 pounds and grown 3 inches in 2 months. I have been a much happier baby lately, I think the world is pretty cool to sit back and watch. I love, love, love ceiling fans and I like to stare at lights. I really like that the weather is getting nicer and I get to spend more time outside and taking walks. I see that there is a swimming pool out the back door, wow, I can't wait to get in there. I love water and I love the the sun, so what is there not to love about spending time in the pool this summer?! I need to remind my mom to get me some sun block, I know how she is about sun block, it is not in her vocabulary. I am sure she will have me trained to put my own sunblock on before the end of the summer. I went to a babysitter for the first time this week and I had a great time. I did a nice job of sleeping for a couple hours so that Aja could actually spend some time with the other kids! She said I was kind of fussy while she was trying to fix the other kids lunch, but as far as I know the world revolves around me, so why on earth should I have to wait. I survived and my mom says it was a lesson I have to learn!!! I have been sleeping for long periods of time at night this week too. Tuesday night I slept for 6 hours straight and last night I slept for 7 hours. Aunt Kate put me to sleep at 8:00 and I did not wake up until 3. My mom says she has not felt this well rested for 2 months. She also said she is having a hard time sleeping for that long at a time because I have her so trained to get up every 3-4 hours. She also told me that she can adjust, no problem!!! I am smiling a lot more now, as you can see in the pictures that were posted the other day it sure is funny when my mom talks like a dork to me, I have not other choice but to laugh at her!!!! Well, I am not sure if I have much more to talk about, and I am going to try really hard to blog more often. I need to spend less time staring at ceiling fans and more time sharing with you all what I have been up to!!!!

1 month pictures

Mommy is back to work

So....my mommy went back to work this week and I get to have my grandma over!!! My aunt Kate is watching me tomorrow and mommy is taking Friday off. I have been having a blast!! My grandma has been playing with me and teaching me to play with rattles and stuff. The best thing about it is that grandma does not find it so important to work on things around the house like mom does, so she will sit on the couch and hold me while I sleep! I love it!! I had a great Easter and I hope everyone else did as well. My mom said she will post some pictures of me in my Easter sweater....they say I was pretty darn cute. I went to church on Easter with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Kate and I was a good boy. I like church, there is lots of singing and I love to listen to singing! I did however do something that made my mom proud, but my grandma not so much.....I let out a really loud burp after drinking my bottle...I guess that is not something you are supposed to do in church. I am so glad the weather is getting nice, my mommy and I went for a nice long walk yesterday and stop over at Bobby Jo's house and had a nice visit. I stayed awake the whole walk and loved how the fresh air felt on my face. I think I am really going to like hanging out in the fresh air....it is so much better than being inside all the time. I think that is about all that is going on. I am still waiting patiently to see my 1 month pictures that I had taken and I promise, as soon as I get them back I will get some posted. Until then....I guess these will have to do.

6 weeks old

I feel like I have not posted a blog for a long time! Here are the fun things that have happened this week.....I got my 1 month pictures taken and I was pretty cooperative....given the circumstances. I hate being naked and I hate having my clothes changed and if you want my opinion, that is what pictures are all about!! We did get some cute shots though, so be looking for those to be posted soon. Mommy's school had a baby shower for us and I got a high chair...among many other things. Those sure are some nice people at Clear Creek Elementary. Mommy said she does not even want to think about me being big enough to sit in a high chair. I on the other hand can't wait!!! The weather finally cooperated yesterday and we were able to take Dallas for a walk. He was kind of a spaz, but mommy said she is going to try really hard to train him to walk next to the stroller like a good boy. We must have ran over his foot 50 times...we are shooting for 20 next time. Today is my grandma's birthday and I got her something extra special, but I am not going to say what it is in case she reads this before she gets it. I get to spend the night at grandma and grandpa's house tomorrow night. I am so excited!! I will miss mommy and daddy, but I love my grandma. I wonder if she will let me sleep in her bed with her....my mommy and daddy never let me!!!! I do have some sad news to share....mommy has to go back to work Monday! I know she is going to be sad, but I have been trying to tell her it is going to be fine! I get to hang out with grandma 3 days a week, what is sad about that??? My mommy is lucky though because she gets the summer off, so she only has to go back for 8 weeks, then we get to spend the whole summer together....in the pool. I love the sun and for that my mom is thankful! I think she loves the sun more than me, but we will see. Well, I better get going, this house is a mess and it is not going to clean itself.

Not much going on

I have not had much excitement in my life lately so I don't have much to blog about, but I did want to say hello to everyone. I stayed home with my daddy last Friday while mommy attempted to have a girls night.....well, I missed her so much that I cried the whole time and finally I convinced Daddy to call her and tell her to come home. I felt so much better when she got home! Mommy's friend Ami came over and held me for a long time yesterday...I like her, she always tells me I'm cute!! I am going to Lisa's house tonight to talk with Julie about my pictures that I am getting taken this weekend. I hope Mommy does not make me do anything crazy. I am going to try really hard to be awake and happy for this picture taking adventure, but it is not easy you know!!!!! My grandma and grandpa's anniversary is tomorrow, they have been married for 38 years. I love my grandma and grandpa and want to wish them a happy anniversary! And in case anyone is wondering.......I like my grandma the most in the whole wide world. I wish my mom could relax, sit down, and just chill out and maybe I would like her more too. Someday she will take Grandma's advice....but I'm not sure when that will be...hopefully before I turn 18. Well, I am getting tired thinking about my mom's craziness, so I guess I will go take a nap. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Oh, and can someone tell me what the difference between Winter and Spring is? So far I have not figured that out!!!
